“As young punk kids in the early 2000s, we didn’t have the means to go to a studio to get tattooed or pierced, but I had friends who worked as piercers and they taught me the basics. I started piercing friends from the skatepark at which I spent most of my time, and eventually began going to piercing studios and asking to stand next to the piercer as they worked so I could learn. Since then I’ve worked at several studios and I never stop learning new things.”
